Living In Freedom Every Day (LIFE)

LIFE (Living in Freedom Every Day) groups are an essential next step in experiencing God in real ways, every day. The mission of this 12-week small group is for believers to have every obstacle to intimacy with the Lord removed by focusing on six areas of personal growth:

  • 1
Living in the Tree of Life
The Bible speaks of two trees in the Garden of Eden. There is much insight in the distinction between these two trees, especially about the life-giving approach of a real Christian experience versus dead religion. This wisdom can be gained from studying the details of the first sin and the difference between the two trees.
  • 2
    Walking in the Spirit
God tells us to walk in the Spirit. Unfortunately, our shortcomings, failures, sins, and hurts can make the thought of such a command overwhelming. Nevertheless, He would not have instructed us to walk in the Spirit if He hadn’t given us the grace and power to do so. God’s word teaches us how to live with our “spirit man” in charge of our mind, will, emotions, and body.
  • 3
Surrendering Our Lives to the Lord
God calls us to be a people whose love for Him supersedes all other desires and goals. Throughout His Word, He instructs us to seek Him and His Kingdom first. He must be Lord of our lives so that we may grow in our purpose and receive His blessings.
  • 4
Learning to Speak Words of Life
The Bible says that life and death are in the power of the tongue. Words can be encouraging or words can curse. We can break the power of negative words that have been spoken over us and words of death that we have spoken ourselves. God’s word is living and active, and we can learn to use it to advance His kingdom.
  • 5
Becoming a Vessel God Can Use
We know that when we confess and repent of our sin, the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all unrighteousness. However, many believers are unaware that demonic forces can gain footholds when we allow sin to reign in our lives. We repent of sin and cast off the powers of darkness that have influenced us so we can become vessels of honor ready for God’s use.
  • 6
    Living as a Worshipper
Maintaining a life walking in the Spirit, surrendering ourselves to the Lord, speaking words of life, and walking in purity, requires us to be worshippers in spirit and in truth. We worship God through our adoration and our praise, but also through our obedience to Him. We can have more than weekend experiences with God when we live a lifestyle of worship.
