Where do my children go?

Our Children's ministry is full of dedicated, caring Dream Team members who love working with children. Each Dream Team member undergoes a background check and screening process to ensure the highest level of safety for all our children. Do you have separate services and events for teenagers?
Our High School ministry is the place for teens in grades 9 through 12, Saturdays at 6 p.m. Teens are also encouraged to join a small group. These occur throughout the week at various times. Learn more on our high school page.
Do you have separate services and events for college-age students and young professionals?
Our young adult ministry is called Nineteen North. Service is Saturday at 8:30 p.m. This ministry also includes small groups and college outreaches to Slippery Rock and Grove City College. Learn more on our young adults page.
Is there a men's ministry?
Yes. The Journey Men's Ministry is focused on developing a variety of dynamic small groups for men of all ages and interests. An annual Rise, Shoot, and Eat event for all men supports involvement in small groups and creates additional opportunities for inviting other men to get involved. Find a small group here.
Is there a women's ministry?
Yes. Our BeLoved Women's Ministry is focused on developing a variety of dynamic small groups for women of all ages and interests. Seasonal gatherings for all women support involvement in small groups and create additional opportunities for inviting other women to get involved. Find a small group here.
How often do you serve communion?
We serve communion on the last weekend of every month.
How and when do you offer water baptism?

Where is the church's lost and found located?
Lost and found items are located at the Information & Events Center A next to the Living Word Bookstore.
Is there a nursing mother's room?
There is a private room offered just for nursing mothers. It is located in the children's hallway between the 0-6 months and 7-12 months rooms and is called "The Baby Store."
Do you have a bookstore or café?
The Living Word Bookstore and our café, The Well, are available before and after every service. They are both located in the lobby with additional coffee kiosks in the mall way area under the balcony stairs.

Are you involved in the community?
We have several outreach events during the year, including Eggstravaganza and participation in Cranberry Community Days. We support many missionaries throughout the local area and the world. Our weekly addiction recovery outreach, Victory Group, provides love and support for anyone suffering from personal or family struggles through discussion groups, a meal, food donations, clothing donations, and free child care. Many other outreaches, such as redecorating and renovating Glade Run's residential location, providing school backpacks and supplies for kids in need, and providing gifts for children in need at Christmastime, occur throughout the year. Do you have a food bank?
We do not have a food bank in the church building, but we contribute to five food banks in the area. Contact the office at 724.453.6200 for more information.

What is the purpose of Small Groups?
Victory's Small Groups are your source for friendship, fun, and support. They are the key to developing connections with those who share your interests or face similar issues in life. As part of a Small Group, you have the opportunity to reach out to others while growing in your walk with the Lord.
Who can attend a Small Group?
Anyone can attend. You do not have to be a member of Victory to join a small group. You are welcome to join a Small Group at any point during any semester.
Who can lead a Small Group?
To lead a Small Group, you must be a member of Victory Family Church and have attended Small Group Leader Training. Additional Small Group Leader Training sessions will be held the month before the start of our fall and spring semesters.
When and where are Small Groups held?
Victory's Small Groups meet once a week in homes, businesses, restaurants, or other locations. Small Groups change three times a year—every fall, spring, and summer—so that you have the opportunity to try something new each semester. You are welcome to join a Small Group at any point during any semester.
What kind of Small Groups are available?
Every semester is different. Small Groups can be activity- or curriculum-based. Some will focus on devotionals or Bible-based studies while others emphasize fun and fellowship around common interests. Check out the current semester's Small Group list today!
Are all children required to be checked in by a parent?
Yes. We place great value on providing your child with a safe environment. To do this effectively, we assign your child an ID number for the day. We give you a copy of this ID number that must be presented when picking up your child. This protects you and your child and ensures that no one else can pick up your child while you are enjoying the service.
I am a first-time guest. How do I register my child?
Onsite registration is easy. Simply stop by one of our check-in counters, and a Dream Team member will assist you with the registration process. Our children's ministry is bustling with children, so we recommend that you arrive 20-30 minutes early if you plan to register onsite.
If I have an older child and a younger child, can they be in the same room together?
We strongly suggest that each child attend his or her age-specific class. The structure, curriculum, and activities are designed according to age group. We have planned ahead to ensure the best possible experience based on this distinction.
What is taught during Children's Ministry?
It is our first priority to get the Word of God into your child's life, so we are careful to design age-specific lessons for every service.
When will my child advance to the next class?
For Nursery and Preschool classes, children advance to the next age group the first full weekend of the month following their birthday. For example, if your child turns three in June, he or she will move up the first full weekend in July. Students entering first grade will advance to their class in June.
What if my child needs me during the service?
If your child needs you during the service, we will display your child's ID number on the screens located in the sanctuary and on the TVs located throughout the building. This number will be displayed on the screen twice. If no one responds, then your name will go up on the screen. Please respond promptly if your child's number is displayed.
When do you offer Children's Ministry?
- Saturdays at 6 p.m.
- Sundays at 9 & 11 a.m.

What time can I check in my child into his or her room?
The classrooms open approximately twenty minutes prior to the start of each service.
Are Dream Team members and Parent Volunteers screened?
Yes. We have a rigorous screening process for all Dream Team members and volunteers including a criminal background check. To learn more about serving with us, click Join Our Team on our children's page.
I am nursing my child. What accommodations are available to me?
We have a Nursing Mothers' Room that provides privacy and a venue to experience service while caring for your child. There is a television that displays the main service.
Is it safe to give online?
Yes. Your My Victory account meets the rigorous PCI compliance standards of security and features an encrypted information process (look for the "s" in https). In many ways giving online is safer than writing a check because an electronic contribution cannot be lost or stolen.
From what types of accounts can I give?
You can give from your checking account, debit card, or credit card issued by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover.
Are there any fees involved with giving online?
No. You will not pay any fees with an online contribution.
Can I make a one-time contribution?
Yes. Your My Victory account allows you the option of making a one-time contribution by logging into your account, or giving as a guest without an account.
If I want to set up a recurring contribution, what are my options for frequency of my gift?
You can choose from weekly, every other week, or monthly. You can also set up multiple recurring gifts to further customize (ie. Give a tithe on the 1st and 15th of every month).
Can I change the amount or the frequency of my recurring contribution?
Credit/debit card and checking account information is not stored in your My Victory account at this time. In order to make a change, cancel your existing recurring gift and create a new one. (Please keep in mind that, per IRS regulations, once a gift has been made to the church it cannot be refunded.)

Can I review my donation history online?
Yes. Your full giving statement, up to a five-year-history, can be viewed through your My Victory account. This is a complete history and can be used as a quarterly or year-end giving statement for tax purposes. Paper giving statements will no longer be mailed.
Will I still receive regular contribution statements from the church?
No. Because you can now view your full giving history at any time by logging into your My Victory account, we will no longer mail statements. The online statement is complete and usable for tax purposes.
How will I know that I set up my contribution correctly?
From your My Victory account, click on "My Giving" on the right side. This will display all recent gifts and at the top of the screen, you will find a list of your recurring gifts including the dates, amounts, and designations you have selected.
Does it matter which Internet browser I use?
The online giving system works with any browser, including most mobile devices.
