Our History

July 8, 1989

God spoke to Pastor John's and Michelle's hearts: "You will build a church here someday." Amazingly, it was at this very spot that the first facility was later built and occupied in August of 1997.

October 17, 1993

On Sunday morning Pastor John and Michelle Nuzzo obeyed the Lord's command and started Victory Christian Fellowship (now Victory Family Church). Thirty-three people gathered together in the Cinema World in the Cranberry Mall as a move of God was birthed.

October 1993 - August 1997

Victory met in various locations for its mid-week service including Fresh Air Camp (Mars, PA), Sheraton Inn (Cranberry Township), and the Chadwick Crown Banquet Facility (Wexford, PA).

August 1997

Victory's first permanent location - 216 Mystic Pine Trail. Attendance grew to more than 500 people in a few months. By September 1999 the building was completely debt free.

June 2001

Victory purchased 64 acres of prime real estate to build a new facility on Route 19 in the northern part of Cranberry Township.

November/December 2001

The capital campaign (Building for Life) to fund the new building project began with a series of Thanksgiving Banquets.

October 2002

A groundbreaking ceremony took place to celebrate the beginning of the site work on Victory's new property.

June 2003

A debt of 1.8 million dollars, incurred from the 2.4 million dollar purchase of property, was eliminated through the first phase of the capital campaign. The mortgage on the 64 acres purchased for building the new church was paid for in full!

March 2005

Construction of the new building began.

April 2005

3.4 million dollars worth of site work was completed as more than 750,000 yards of dirt were relocated, new roads were built, a traffic light added, an intersection rebuilt, water and sewage were brought to the property, and all necessary utilities were added. All of this was done without incurring further debt and was paid off when the newly created 14-acre business park was sold for 3.35 million dollars.

April 2006

The first service was held in the new building. Within the first week, attendance had jumped from an average 965 in weekend services to almost 1,700. Since then thousands of people have given their lives to Christ.

January 2008

With an average weekend attendance of more than 2,300 people, the decision was made to move forward with Phase II and build again. Within 21 months of moving to the new location, Victory grew by133%.

November 2009

Groundbreaking for the new 2,400 seat sanctury.

November 2011

Constuction has begun for the new 2,400 seat sanctury.
